by Alice

United Airlines is set to enhance its international route network with the introduction of new nonstop flights to Marrakech and Medellín, further solidifying its position as a key player in global air travel.

In a move to offer travelers unparalleled access to exotic destinations, United Airlines will inaugurate the only nonstop service between the United States and Marrakech on October 24. The new route will operate from Newark Liberty International Airport, marking a significant milestone for United as the sole carrier offering direct flights to Marrakech from the U.S. The service will run three times weekly aboard a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft featuring 46 Polaris business class seats and 22 Premium Plus seats. Tickets for this highly anticipated flight will be available for purchase later this year.

In addition to the Marrakech route, United Airlines will introduce a new flight between Houston and Medellín, Colombia, starting October 27. Operated on a Boeing 737 aircraft, this service will complement United’s existing offerings from both Houston and Newark to Bogota, further strengthening connectivity between the United States and Colombia.

The airline is also ramping up frequencies to several popular destinations, including Hong Kong, Seoul, and Porto in Portugal. Additionally, United plans to launch four weekly flights between Los Angeles and Shanghai on August 29, with plans to increase to daily flights by late October.

United Airlines isn’t just focusing on international expansion; it’s also catering to domestic travel needs. This winter, the airline increased its flights to Florida by nearly 20 percent and added more nonstop routes to sought-after ski destinations like Jackson Hole, Vail, Steamboat, Telluride, and Big Sky.

Furthermore, United Airlines is poised for its largest-ever expansion into Canada this summer, spurred by heightened interest from travelers. This expansion follows a significant partnership expansion with Air Canada, signaling United’s commitment to meeting evolving travel demands and fostering seamless connectivity across North America and beyond.
