Princess Cruises has added a third “Total Solar Eclipse” voyage to its 2026 line-up, responding to brisk demand for astronomy-themed trips.
The new cruise runs 14 days on Enchanted Princess, departing Rome on 4 August 2026 and circling the Mediterranean and Adriatic. It is now open for booking.
Guests will be at sea off Spain’s eastern coast on 12 August 2026, when the moon will fully cover the sun for two minutes and 18 seconds. Princess says the ship’s top decks will become an open-air observatory. Passengers will receive eclipse glasses, hear astronomy talks, play solar-system trivia, and sample themed food and drinks. They may bring personal telescopes and are encouraged to wear eclipse-inspired outfits.
Key calls on the itinerary (4–18 August) include:
- Civitavecchia (Rome)
- Naples – gateway to Capri and Pompeii
- Kotor, Montenegro
- Dubrovnik, Croatia
- Corfu, Greece
- Messina and Palermo, Sicily
- Gibraltar
- Alicante, Spain
- Barcelona, Spain
The voyage joins two earlier announced eclipse cruises: Sky Princess sails from Southampton on 8 August 2026, while Sun Princess offers 7-, 14-, and 21-day options from Barcelona and Athens. Princess says the trio of sailings underlines its aim to blend classic travel with “wow” moments in nature.
