The new property, named Tui Blue Sihanoukville, will offer 189 rooms and be located on the Gulf of Thailand coast.
In addition, Tui Hotels & Resorts is launching its Tui Suneo brand in China. The first resort under this label will be the Tui Suneo Shenzhen Manwan, featuring 215 rooms in Shenzhen’s Dapeng Bay New District.
The company also signed deals for three more hotels this week. In total, Tui now has 26 new resorts planned across Asia.
The upcoming resorts will be built in Cambodia, China, Indonesia, the Maldives, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Tui currently operates 22 resorts in Asia. This figure includes recent additions in Bangkok, Bali, and China during the current financial year.
Peter Krueger, Tui Group’s chief strategy officer and CEO of holiday experiences, said: “With our expansion in Asia, we continue to grow our global presence. Our strong leisure hotel brands attract new partners through management and franchise deals. They also create enjoyable holiday experiences for new guests in the region.”
Artur Gerber, managing director of Tui Hotels & Resorts, said the move marks a major step for the company.
“Adding a new destination and introducing another brand in Asia is an important milestone. Our experience in leisure hotels brings great value to guests not just from Europe, but also from Asia. With the help of our local partners, we aim to create a warm atmosphere and unique holiday experiences.”
