Sabre has launched Air France and KLM’s New Distribution Capability (NDC) content within its travel marketplace, the global distribution system announced on Tuesday.
Travel agencies connected to Sabre can now access a range of benefits, including better options, exclusive promotions, and competitive fares through continuous pricing for both airlines. These features are available via Sabre’s Offer and Order APIs, Sabre Red 360, Sabre Red Launchpad, and various booking tools.
Initially, the NDC content is available to agencies in 15 European countries. A global rollout will begin on May 20.
Roshan Mendis, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Sabre Travel Solutions, explained that the activation “reflects the shift toward a modern and more flexible distribution environment.”
Mendis added, “We aim to enable smarter retailing through multi-source content, allowing agencies to seamlessly shop, book, and manage NDC content alongside other types of offerings. This partnership highlights our vision of a marketplace where airlines can offer personalized deals at scale, while agencies continue to provide valuable service to travelers.”
Air France-KLM’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Angus Clarke, described the integration as a key development in their distribution strategy. He noted that the partnership would enable the airlines to offer better fares with continuous pricing, exclusive promotions, additional options, and innovative products like Seat and Extra SAF Bundles.
Sabre, headquartered in Texas, claims to provide access to more NDC content from a wider range of airlines than any other major global distribution system. Recently, Sabre activated NDC content from Iberia in April, British Airways in March, and completed the rollout of Lufthansa NDC content in February.
