Trafalgar, a well-known tour operator, is set to expand its offerings to include river cruises in Europe next year. The company will launch two new itineraries along the Rhine and Danube rivers, beginning in April 2026.
These cruises will be operated on ships chartered from Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, a sister company under The Travel Corporation umbrella, which also owns Trafalgar.
Trafalgar will feature an eight-day Danube cruise on the Trafalgar Reverie, a ship with a capacity of 128 passengers. The company will also offer a 10-day Rhine cruise aboard the Trafalgar Verity, which can accommodate the same number of guests.
Both cruises will include local guides and onboard entertainment, such as cooking demonstrations and regional performances. Wellness activities, including yoga sessions and complimentary bicycles, will also be available. Passengers can choose from seven different cabin types.
The “Best of the Danube” itinerary will take travelers from Budapest to Passau, Germany, with stops in Bratislava and Vienna. A highlight of the trip will be a unique dining experience at Austria’s oldest winery, Weingut Nikolaihof. Prices for this cruise start at $2,799 per person.
Meanwhile, the “Best of the Rhine and Amsterdam” itinerary will start in Basel and end in Amsterdam. Passengers will visit the UNESCO-listed Cologne Cathedral and explore Strasbourg’s old town. An additional experience will include a visit to a family-run farm. Rates for this cruise start at $3,399 per person.
