Chiang Mai to Host Six International Conferences in 2025

by Alice

Chiang Mai, Thailand’s northern capital, is set to solidify its position as a leading MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination by hosting six international conferences in 2025. The city’s growing reputation in the MICE industry marks a significant step forward, with plans also underway to secure at least one international conference for 2026.

While Bangkok has traditionally been the main hub for international conferences in Thailand, Chiang Mai is emerging as a competitive alternative. In 2025, the city will host conferences in diverse fields, including engineering, medicine, environmental science, and social science. These events will take place at various venues throughout the city, from the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre to convention halls in five-star hotels.

Mr. Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, President of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), expressed pride in Chiang Mai’s achievements. “We are pleased that Chiang Mai, one of Thailand’s MICE cities, has gained international trust. The variety of venues chosen for these conferences showcases the city’s ability to cater to diverse needs. Chiang Mai blends modern amenities with the rich heritage of ‘Lanna’ culture, stunning ecological sites, and local community-focused activities, ensuring a memorable experience for delegates,” he said.
