Delta Air Lines is expanding its services for college football fans, offering its largest-ever flight schedule for the 2025 season. The airline is adding over 40 extra flights to help fans travel to major college football games.
The expansion will provide around 8,000 new seats to smaller regional airports. A total of 25 college towns will benefit from the new routes, including cities like South Bend, Indiana, home to Notre Dame; Columbus, Ohio, where Ohio State University is located; and Gainesville, Florida, the home of the University of Florida.
The new flights are timed to align with some of the most anticipated matchups of the season, such as LSU versus Clemson and Texas versus Ohio State. The majority of these flights will depart on Fridays and return on Sundays, perfectly timed for weekend game days.
Service will begin in late August and continue through the football season until November. The flights will be operated by both mainline Delta and Delta Connection.
“College football is one of the great American traditions, and Delta is excited to help more fans get to the games that matter to them most,” said Amy Martin, Delta’s vice president of North America network planning.
