Partnership and Purpose
Craig Gibbons, Managing Director for Asia Pacific at Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board, expressed excitement about the collaboration, saying, “We’re thrilled to partner with Urban List to bring the energy, creativity, and culture of Los Angeles to Sydney’s Hollywood Quarter. This takeover celebrates everything that makes LA unforgettable, from its food scene to its music and cinema heritage.”

Jacqui L’Brooy, Chief Commercial Officer at Urban List, emphasized the significance of the event: “This isn’t just a campaign. It’s about creating real experiences that connect people with LA’s culture. Our audience is more likely to travel where Urban List promotes, and by bringing LA to Sydney’s Hollywood Quarter, we’re sparking a genuine desire to visit LA.”
With major infrastructure developments underway in LA, including the modernization of Los Angeles International Airport and the construction of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, Los Angeles Tourism is preparing for a series of global events, such as NBA All-Star 2026, FIFA World Cup 2026, and the 2028 Olympic Games.
