Alaska Airlines has teamed up once again with Disneyland Resort to launch a new aircraft, inspired by the theme of the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction at Disneyland Park. The aircraft, named Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer, was unveiled at Portland International Airport and features a colorful design based on The Princess and the Frog.
This marks the ninth Disney-themed aircraft in Alaska Airlines’ fleet, and it is the first to showcase a Disney Princess. The launch also coincides with Disneyland Resort’s 70th anniversary celebration, which begins on May 16, 2025.
The Boeing 737-800 plane is decorated with vibrant imagery of Princess Tiana, celebrating her story and the new attraction at Disneyland. The design took over 2,000 hours to complete, with detailed artwork including Louis the Alligator among water lilies, a glowing trail of fireflies running from the nose to the tail, and images of Mama Odie and Prince Naveen on the plane’s winglets.
Beginning this summer, children onboard will be able to enjoy a Tiana’s Bayou Adventure snack pack, available for purchase.
Eric Edge, Vice President of Brand and Marketing at Alaska Airlines, expressed excitement about the new aircraft, saying, “Every journey should be as magical as the destination, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer brings that wonder to the skies.” He continued, “This aircraft captures Princess Tiana’s love for adventure, inspiring guests to embrace new possibilities.”
Sybil Crum, Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Strategy at Disneyland Resort, also shared her thoughts, noting, “For over 25 years, Alaska Airlines and Disneyland Resort have collaborated to bring magic to the skies. As Disneyland celebrates its 70th anniversary, this aircraft honors that legacy, with Princess Tiana leading the way into a bright future.”
