PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri is increasing its presence in Singapore by adding a second daily flight on the Jakarta-Singapore route, effective today. This move is part of the airline’s strategy to strengthen its regional air network.
The announcement follows the airline’s successful launch of flights to Perth from Bali just a month ago.
TransNusa’s CEO, Datuk Bernard Francis, revealed plans to further enhance the airline’s connectivity throughout this year. The new daily flight to Singapore will complement the existing services, increasing convenience for passengers traveling between Jakarta and Singapore.
The newly added flight, 8B 153, took off from Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta at 12:10 PM and landed at Singapore Changi Airport at 2:40 PM. The return flight, 8B 154, departed Changi Airport at 3:30 PM, arriving in Jakarta at 4:20 PM.
In addition to this new service, TransNusa will continue to operate its existing daily flight, 8B 151, which departs Jakarta at 7:55 AM and arrives in Singapore at 10:45 AM. The return flight, 8B 152, leaves Singapore at 11:45 AM and lands in Jakarta at 12:30 PM.
Since the arrival of aviation veteran Datuk Bernard Francis as CEO, TransNusa has achieved significant milestones. The airline, which began its international operations with its first flight to Singapore on April 14, 2023, has expanded rapidly within Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region.
Datuk Bernard credits TransNusa’s rapid growth to its tailored business model and the experience of its management team.
For its international flights, TransNusa offers competitive pricing alongside premium services. The airline’s offerings include three product bundles: SEAT, SEAT-PLUS, and FLEXI-PRO. These packages allow passengers to enjoy baggage allowances ranging from 20kg to 30kg, in addition to the standard 7kg hand-carry allowance.
The FLEXI-PRO package includes enhanced benefits such as 30kg of free baggage, seat selection, free meals and drinks, priority check-in and boarding, as well as flexible flight changes and refunds when necessary.
To ensure passenger comfort, TransNusa’s A320 aircraft are configured with 174 seats, providing approximately 30 inches of legroom, which is comparable to the experience offered by full-service airlines.
“We are committed to offering affordable and competitive prices while maintaining premium services for our customers,” said Datuk Bernard.
