by Alice

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans to open its latest property, the InterContinental Halong Bay Resort, in the summer of 2025. The resort will be located in Ha Long Marina Urban Area, at the entrance to Ha Long City, and will offer easy access to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The resort will feature 174 guest rooms and suites, 60 branded residences, and 41 private villas. The design, created by WATG with interiors by P49Deesign, is inspired by the region’s rich folklore and marine environment. Elements such as bamboo basket boats and water motifs will be incorporated into the architecture.

The resort will also offer wellness services in collaboration with Margaret Dabbs London and Sodashi, providing treatments ranging from facials to body therapies. Families will find plenty of activities, with three swimming pools, beach sports, and a children’s club available.

Located just two hours from Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport, the resort is perfect for both leisure travelers and those looking for a pre- or post-cruise stay. Its opening aligns with the ongoing tourism development in Ha Long Bay, offering visitors opportunities for cultural and nature-based experiences, including tours of local fishing villages, cave explorations, and boat cruises.

Additionally, the resort will offer access to the Timeshifter app, designed to help long-haul travelers manage jet lag. The app will provide tools based on circadian science, while multiple dining options will be available to help reduce travel fatigue and meet guests’ needs throughout the day.
