Jamaica Tourist Board Expands Partnership With ALG Vacations to Boost Tourism

by Alice

The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has announced the extension of its partnership with ALG Vacations (ALGV), aiming to further promote travel to the island.

The renewed agreement is part of ALGV’s ongoing ‘Wish You Were Here’ Destination Feature campaign, which is spotlighting Jamaica throughout this month. The campaign encourages travel advisors to book trips to the Caribbean destination, offering incentives for doing so.

Philip Rose, Deputy Director of Tourism at the JTB, said Jamaica’s tourism sector is off to a strong start in 2025, with record visitor numbers and more than 1.6 million airline seats bringing travelers to the island so far.

“We are excited to work with ALGV on this campaign as we continue to build on our current success,” Rose said. “With new hotels, upgraded infrastructure, and signature events on the horizon, the timing of this promotion is ideal. It supports our momentum and will help generate even more positive results.”

As part of the promotion, travel agents who book trips to Jamaica through Apple Vacations, Funjet Vacations, Southwest Vacations, Travel Impressions, or United Vacations can earn up to 5,000 WAVES bonus points. This offer is valid for bookings made by May 1, 2025, for travel through March 31, 2026, at selected hotels.

In addition, group bookings made by May 1, 2025, for travel through December 15, 2026, are eligible for up to $1,000 in group credit at participating hotels in Jamaica.

Francine Carter Henry, Manager of Tour Operators and Airlines at the JTB, said the partnership with ALGV helps deliver valuable deals to both travel agents and their clients.

“We are proud to be ALGV’s Destination of the Month. It gives travelers the chance to save on future trips to Jamaica,” Henry said. “Our collaboration with ALG Vacations has been very successful, and we appreciate their ongoing support.”

Travelers can receive up to $300 off on hotel and air package bookings to Jamaica. This discount applies to trips booked for travel now through March 31, 2026. A minimum stay of three nights is required, and other terms may apply. These savings can also be combined with offers from other travel suppliers.

Additionally, customers can save up to $100 on premium cabin air-and-hotel packages with United, American, Delta, or JetBlue. These bookings must be made by December 31, 2025, for travel through December 15, 2026.

The campaign highlights Jamaica’s commitment to tourism and its efforts to attract more visitors by offering competitive travel deals and building strong industry partnerships.
