The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) will host its 55th Annual Convention in Bengaluru, Karnataka, from September 12 to 14, 2025. As the apex body of India’s hospitality industry, FHRAI is preparing for what is expected to be the country’s largest business and networking event for the tourism and hospitality sector.
The three-day convention will bring together more than 1,200 participants. These will include policymakers, industry experts, hotel and restaurant leaders, entrepreneurs, and academics. This year’s event will build on the previous theme, Tourism@2047: Incredible to Inevitable India, by focusing on new trends, technology, and partnerships that can help the sector become more resilient and future-ready.
The FHRAI Convention has long been an important space for dialogue. It provides a forum where stakeholders can exchange ideas and create practical strategies to improve the Indian hospitality industry.
FHRAI President K. Syama Raju said the event will help chart a path for sustainable and inclusive growth. “The 55th FHRAI Convention is an opportunity to build a roadmap for resilient, inclusive, and eco-conscious hospitality growth in India,” he said. “Bengaluru, with its global appeal and focus on innovation, is the perfect location for these discussions. We look forward to welcoming industry leaders and changemakers who are shaping the future of tourism and hospitality.”
Established in 1955, FHRAI represents over 60,000 hotels and 500,000 restaurants across India. It plays a key role in promoting tourism and hospitality through policy discussions, education, research, and cooperation with government and international bodies.
The 2025 convention will include panel discussions, keynote speeches, technical sessions, and interactive forums. The program will focus on sustainability, innovation, and long-term growth strategies for the industry.
Last year, the convention attracted over 800 participants. This year, the number is expected to increase to 1,200, showing the industry’s growing interest in collaboration and its commitment to a forward-looking approach.
