Focus Travel Partnership, a prominent alliance of travel management companies (TMCs), has announced the appointment of Paul Spencer as its new managing director. Spencer officially started in his new role today, following the departure of former CEO Steve Banks at the end of 2024.
Spencer has a long history in the corporate travel industry, beginning his career in 2008 at Hillgate Travel. He later joined Statesman Travel, where he managed the TSI Global Network, which includes around 40 TMC members.
Adrian Parkes, who is currently serving as the interim chairman of Focus, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment. “After a thorough and extensive search process by the Focus Board, we are pleased to welcome Paul as managing director,” he said. “He brings a wealth of leadership experience and industry knowledge. We are confident he will play a key role in driving the continued success of the partnership.”
Before joining Focus, Spencer held the role of UK managing director at Internet Travel Solutions (ITS).
Spencer shared his excitement about his new position. “This role gives me the opportunity to apply my experience and knowledge from senior roles in both the travel management and corporate travel sectors to an already successful company,” he said. “I look forward to collaborating with the Focus team, the Board, TMC partners, and suppliers to further enhance the value of this unique business.”
