Fairmont Hotels has officially opened its first property in the Czech Republic — the Fairmont Golden Prague — following an extensive renovation of a historic building in central Prague.
The 320-room hotel is located in the city’s Old Town and marks a significant addition to the Accor-owned brand’s European portfolio. The property occupies a former “brutalist” building from the mid-1970s, which has undergone a multi-million-euro transformation to blend modern luxury with architectural heritage.
Guests can enjoy a wide range of amenities, including six dining venues. These include Zlata Praha, a Czech cuisine restaurant, and Golden Eye, which offers Southeast Asian flavours. The hotel also features a fitness centre, a private garden, and the only outdoor pool located in the heart of Prague.
The Fairmont Golden Prague has also been named the brand’s new flagship for Fairmont Gold in Europe. Fairmont Gold is a premium club lounge concept that provides exclusive services and benefits for guests.
For business and event needs, the hotel offers a 600-square-metre ballroom with no columns, along with three rooftop boardrooms. Each boardroom comes with a private terrace, offering views of the city skyline.
With this opening, Fairmont continues its global expansion while establishing a strong presence in Central Europe.
