Oman Air has announced plans to start direct flights between Amsterdam and Muscat, beginning 1 July 2025.
The airline will operate four flights per week on this new route. The service will use Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Amsterdam Schiphol will become Oman Air’s 11th destination in Europe.
Con Korfiatis, CEO of Oman Air, said the move supports the airline’s long-term strategy.
“As we continue to grow, we focus on destinations that align with our goals and offer strong potential for both tourism and business,” he said.
He added that Europe is the airline’s second-largest market by revenue, and that Amsterdam is an important hub for both leisure and business travel. He also highlighted the growing economic relationship between Oman and the Netherlands as a reason for the new route.
In addition to the Amsterdam route, Oman Air will boost its services between London Heathrow and Muscat. Starting 26 October 2025, the airline will add four more weekly flights to the existing daily service.
The goal is to operate two flights per day on this route by summer 2026.
“London has always been a key part of our international network,” said Korfiatis. “The UK is one of our biggest sources of inbound tourism. These added flights will not only improve connectivity but also support Oman’s wider tourism goals.”
