Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is enhancing the travel experience by introducing a new European Business Class on all international European routes, beginning October 1, 2025. This upgrade responds to increasing demand from passengers for a more distinct and comfortable Business Class experience within Europe.
The reintroduction of this service is a major step for SAS as it seeks to strengthen its position as a top premium carrier. With a more competitive and internationally aligned Business Class offering, SAS aims to attract both regional and global travelers who value comfort, flexibility, and high-quality service.
Paul Verhagen, Chief Commercial Officer at SAS, explained, “Many of our premium travelers expect a clearly defined European Business Class that meets international standards. Although SAS Plus has offered an upgraded experience, it hasn’t fully met the needs of travelers seeking clear recognition and distinction. This new offering ensures SAS aligns with global expectations for a top-tier airline.”
The launch is also part of SAS’s broader strategy to make Copenhagen a central global hub for both Scandinavian and European flights. This will improve connections and offer smoother transfers for passengers traveling with SkyTeam partner airlines.
With this move, SAS aims to maintain its competitive edge and continue providing a high-quality, seamless travel experience. Whether traveling for business or leisure, the new SAS European Business Class promises comfort, clarity, and service standards that are on par with long-haul premium cabins.
