Brits planning to travel to Europe this bank holiday weekend are being urged to check their flight status for possible delays or cancellations, as several European countries prepare for strikes.
Air traffic control (ATC) strikes in key holiday destinations, including France, Italy, and Spain, are expected to cause significant disruptions over the next few weeks. Germany and Belgium have also warned of potential action.
Saturday is predicted to be the worst day, with both France and Italy holding 24-hour nationwide strikes. Travel experts have raised concerns that these strikes could create ripple effects across European airspace, causing flight rerouting and congestion.
Jessie Chambers, Senior Travel Advisor at Global Work & Travel, advises travelers to stay flexible and keep updated on any changes to their flight schedules.
