London Stansted Airport has announced the launch of new flight routes to Rotterdam in the Netherlands and Algiers, the capital of Algeria, enhancing its growing network.
Transavia, part of the Air France-KLM Group, now offers flights between Stansted and Rotterdam, the Netherlands’ second-largest city. The flights operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with an extra service on Tuesdays during the busy summer months.
In addition, Air Algérie has introduced its first flights from Stansted to Algiers. The airline will operate the route four times a week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The service will be provided using Boeing 737 aircraft, offering both economy and business class seating.
Gareth Powell, Managing Director of London Stansted, expressed his excitement: “We’re thrilled to welcome Air Algérie to Stansted, marking an important milestone as we add both a new airline and a new country to our network. This route gives passengers more options and better value while strengthening the connection between London and Algiers.”
Looking ahead, Royal Air Maroc will begin a new route connecting Stansted with its Casablanca hub starting June 24.
