Avalon Waterways is elevating its award-winning Suite Ships with a comprehensive fleet-wide refresh. The upgrades aim to improve style, comfort, and connectivity for passengers, ensuring an even better river cruising experience.
The refresh includes updated interiors, enhanced outdoor spaces, and improved Wi-Fi connectivity. Despite these changes, Avalon’s signature feature—stunning panoramic views—remains unchanged.
Over the next two years, Avalon will modernize its European fleet, excluding the Avalon Alegria, Avalon View, and Avalon Envision, which already feature the new design. The updates promise smoother sailing and a more stylish journey for travelers.
Key Enhancements Include:
- Redesigned Public Spaces: New decor, flooring, and furniture throughout the ships.
- Improved Internet: A second Starlink antenna for faster, more reliable Wi-Fi.
- Upgraded Sky Deck: Chic new furniture to complement the breathtaking views.
- Enhanced Observation Lounge: More comfortable seating for passengers to enjoy the scenery.
- Modern Fitness Rooms: New Kinesis weight machines and additional free weights for better workouts.
- Expanded Bike Fleet: Each ship will now have 15 new bikes and four e-bikes for onshore exploration.
Phased Rollout Through 2026:
- 2024: Avalon Passion, Avalon Imagery II, Avalon Poetry II, Avalon Panorama, Avalon Vista.
- 2025: Avalon Artistry II, Avalon Impression, Avalon Illumination, Avalon Tapestry II, Avalon Tranquility II.
- 2026: Avalon Expression and Avalon Visionary.
