American Airlines is introducing new food and drink options for passengers traveling across the U.S. and Canada, both on flights and in Admirals Club airport lounges.
Starting with inflight offerings, the airline is rolling out the following:
New All-American Sliders and Fries: After a successful test run at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, these sliders will now be available to preorder on short-haul domestic flights.
Expanded Breakfast Choices: Passengers can now enjoy five new breakfast options, including a white cheddar and Monterey Jack omelet and a veggie and cheese frittata.
Regional Menu Items at Admirals Club Lounges: Depending on location, travelers can try different regional flavors, such as build-your-own tacos in Miami, beef empanadas in Dallas, and shrimp teriyaki in Nashville, Tennessee.
Updated Premium Spirits and Non-Alcoholic Options: The airline is adding a variety of premium spirits in the lounges, along with new mixers and non-alcoholic drink choices.
“With spring travel picking up, our customers are excited to try new food and drink options,” said Heather Garboden, American Airlines’ Chief Customer Officer. “While winter calls for comforting foods like soups, spring is all about fresh ingredients and lighter dishes, like our new sliders and fries.”
Airport Lounge Updates
American Airlines will offer a wide range of breakfast and all-day snack options at 12 airport lounges across the U.S. The airline’s culinary team has also curated dishes at select lounges in both the U.S. and Canada.
For those on the go, passengers can grab quick snacks such as Darlington Oatmeal Bars, Peanut Butter Dates, Wildway Granola Snack Packs, and Caramel and Cheese Popcorn by Everybody Eats.
