SeaWorld San Antonio has launched a new attraction called Rescue Jr., an interactive adventure zone aimed at introducing children to the world of animal rescue and conservation. The zone is designed for kids aged 3 to 5 and features thrilling rides, play areas, and water features that teach young visitors about the park’s rescue efforts.
The grand opening of Rescue Jr. took place on Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local children, SeaWorld rescue team members, and rescued small animals. The area is not only a fun experience but also aims to educate children on SeaWorld’s work in protecting and rehabilitating animals.
Byron Surrett, SeaWorld’s Chief Parks Operations Officer, said, “Rescue Jr. is an exciting new chapter in SeaWorld’s commitment to inspiring future animal advocates. Spring Break is the perfect time for families to come and experience this fun and educational adventure.”
To celebrate the opening, SeaWorld is offering a special Preschool Card for children aged 3 to 5. This card grants unlimited admission to the park throughout 2025. Families can sign up for the card at SeaWorldSanAntonio.com.
Additionally, parents can purchase a SeaWorld pass and get free access to Aquatica through the park’s Spring Break Sale, available for a limited time.
Rescue Jr. offers several attractions for children to enjoy, including:
Beach Rescue Racer: A 1,300-foot roller coaster where riders, 38 inches or taller, race to save animals in beach jeep-shaped cars.
Ocean Quest Express: A train ride, suitable for guests 36 inches and taller, featuring a sea rescue theme with an “I Spy” game.
Tide Pool Tumble: A seaside ride for adventurers 42 inches and taller, where they glide in and out of the tide.
Seabird Swing: An oversized swing that simulates parasailing, available for guests 36 inches and taller.
Ocean Rescue Carousel: A fun ride for all ages, with independent riding available for guests 42 inches and taller.
SeaWorld is open daily for Spring Break until March 23, 2025, offering plenty of time for families to visit and enjoy the new Rescue Jr. zon.
