The cruise industry gathered at The Star in Sydney on Saturday for the 22nd annual Cruise Industry Awards, one of the biggest events of the year. Travel Associates emerged as a major winner, taking home two prestigious awards.
Natasha Warfield, from Toussaint & Turner Travel Associates, was named Cruise Consultant of the Year for New Zealand. Additionally, Travel Associates received the Network Cruise Promotion of the Year, Australasia Award for their successful marketing campaign.
Rachel Kingswell, General Manager of Travel Associates AU/NZ, expressed her pride in the recognition. “Launching Luxury Cruise Season was one of Travel Associates’ proudest moments in 2024, so to be recognized by CLIA with this award is truly an honor,” she said.
Kingswell highlighted the use of data-driven insights in the campaign, which targeted the new luxury traveller, a key market for the future of cruising. “We tailored our campaign to this unique group, and the results were extraordinary,” she explained.
The campaign included a two-day launch event in Sydney, sponsored by Vogue and GQ, and five luxury cruise consumer events across Australia and New Zealand. The effort resulted in record-breaking cruise sales and booking values, marking the highest in the company’s 26-year history.
Kingswell thanked her team, saying, “This award is all yours. I am incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.” She also extended her gratitude to the cruise partners, adding, “You share this award with us, and we are forever grateful for your support.”
She also celebrated Natasha Warfield’s win, calling it a testament to her dedication, expertise, and passion for cruising. “Natasha is a valuable member of our team and is highly respected by her colleagues at Toussaint & Turner Travel Associates,” Kingswell said. “We look forward to celebrating many more milestones with her in the future.”
