The trip featured cultural sites like Lungshan Temple and Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, alongside modern landmarks such as Taipei 101 Observatory and the vibrant Taoyuan Lantern Festival. Participants also traveled on Taiwan’s high-speed rail network, which connects various destinations.

Some of the trip’s highlights included:

  • A visit to the colorful Rainbow Village in Taichung
  • A hands-on pottery experience in Bantaoyao
  • A scenic ride on the historic Alishan Railway
  • Viewing cherry blossoms at Yangmingshan National Park
  • A tour of Taiwan’s famous food scene, including the birthplace of bubble tea

The agents were particularly impressed by Taiwan’s efficient transportation system, diverse attractions close to one another, and the warm hospitality they received.

“Taiwan exceeded our expectations with its perfect mix of cultural richness, natural beauty, and modern conveniences,” said Anika Kuruc of Travel Managers. “It’s a great value destination for Australian travelers and offers a refreshing alternative to more typical Asian locations.”

As part of its global tourism strategy, the Taiwan Tourism Administration is focused on the Australian market. The destination is appealing to food lovers, culture seekers, nature enthusiasts, and those looking for authentic experiences.

The famil is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen tourism ties between Australia and Taiwan, with direct flights provided by China Airlines between the two countries.
