Transat Distribution Canada Hosts Leadership Conference in Spain

by Alice

Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) is shaking up its National Leadership Conference (NLC) this year with a new location, format, and a focus on lasting impact.

For the first time ever, the event will be held in Europe, specifically at Club Med Magna Marbella on Spain’s Costa del Sol, from March 22 to 28.

The conference will bring together TDC’s franchised and affiliated agency owners and managers, the Voyages Transat/Transat Travel management team, TDC’s leadership, and key partners for a week of strategic planning and collaboration.

Karine Gagnon, General Manager of TDC, shared her excitement: “We’ve truly broken the mold with this edition of our National Leadership Conference. We’re preparing our members ahead of time, encouraging them to reflect on their business goals, so that when they arrive in Spain, they can take purposeful action and connect with the right people. This journey doesn’t end when the week does—follow-ups after the event will help members apply what they’ve learned to real-world situations.”

A key feature of this year’s conference is the collaboration with executive coach Cloé Caron. All participants will have a one-on-one session with Caron and will have access to the TDC Playbook, a tool designed to help agency owners transform insights into actionable steps.

New Meeting Formats Introduced

This year, TDC is introducing a fresh approach to its conference meetings. Instead of the usual plenary sessions, there will be Partner Business Reviews—one-on-one meetings with preferred partners to discuss new opportunities—as well as private sessions with TDC leadership.

To keep everyone on track, a new mobile app will allow participants to schedule meetings, connect with peers, and stay organized.

Tackling Today’s Challenges

The event will feature 10 expert speakers and seven “TDC Talks”—short, focused sessions on current business challenges.

Dianne Jackson, Director of Franchised and Affiliated Members, explained: “Our owners are very busy, so we’ve made sure these talks are to the point and offer practical steps they can immediately apply.”

Topics will cover key areas like AI in marketing, social media growth, and leadership strategies. Gagnon herself will lead a workshop titled Lead, Align, Sell: The Three Pillars of a High-Performing Agency, where she will share her extensive experience in leadership and sales.

Long-Term Impact

TDC is committed to ensuring that the conference’s benefits extend beyond the event. Post-event initiatives will help participants stay on course with their plans.

Anthony Mormina, Senior Director of Sales and Operations at TDC, emphasized the value of the revamped approach: “This year, every participant will leave with a personalized action plan tailored to their agency’s needs. The chance to exchange expertise and best practices with fellow agency owners is one of the most valuable parts of this event.”

With new formats and focused initiatives, this year’s National Leadership Conference is set to leave a lasting impact on TDC’s network of travel professionals.
