Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is set to expand its fleet with the addition of three new ships on European rivers by 2027.
The luxury cruise line announced on Monday that these new vessels will be known as Super Ships, a trademarked name for ships designed to reflect the regions they sail through. While specific itineraries have not been revealed, the ships will travel along the Rhine, Main, Danube, and Douro rivers.
Ellen Bettridge, CEO of Uniworld, emphasized that 2027 will mark a significant milestone for the company. “We’re completing our transformation into a full Super Ship fleet, adding three incredible new vessels,” Bettridge said. “Our focus has always been on enhancing the luxury river cruise experience, not just adding more ships. These new ships will showcase our commitment to innovation and excellence, offering our guests an unparalleled experience.”
The new ships will be designed with luxurious materials, including custom fabrics, hand-carved wood, and marble floors. Uniworld also plans to feature artwork created specifically for the ships or commissioned from renowned artists.
The vessels will offer more space, with additional suites and dining options. They will also be inspired by notable figures connected to the regions they will visit.
Uniworld recently launched the S.S. Victoria and is set to debut the S.S. Elisabeth later this year. The S.S. Emilie will launch next year. In addition to European river cruises, Uniworld also operates in Egypt, India, Peru, and Vietnam and Cambodia.
