Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has announced a series of exciting new entertainment shows set to debut across its fleet through September 2025. These original productions, designed to appeal to a wide range of guests, will be featured on nine of NCL’s ships, including Norwegian Breakaway, Encore, Epic, Escape, Gem, Getaway, Jewel, Joy, and Prima.

The four new shows are “Red, White, & British,” “Bring Back the 90s,” “ICONS: The Bands,” and “Ignite the Night.” Developed in collaboration with top-tier creative partners at NCL’s Creative Studios in Tampa, Florida, these productions aim to provide high-quality entertainment that appeals to a multi-generational audience. The shows feature timeless music, captivating stories, and visually stunning performances, all designed to enhance the guest experience.

Highlighting New Shows

The first of these new shows, Red, White, & British, will pay tribute to British music icons. Developed in partnership with the renowned Australian ballroom group Burn the Floor, the production features a high-energy performance, including a glam rock section that celebrates the music of artists like David Bowie and Queen. Red, White, & British will debut on Norwegian Breakaway during its 14 March 2025 cruise and will be available on other ships throughout the year.

Another notable show, Bring Back the 90s, will transport guests back to the iconic decade with music from artists like Alanis Morissette, Salt-N-Pepa, and Destiny’s Child. The 50-minute performance will celebrate 90s culture through vibrant choreography and multimedia design. The show will premiere aboard Norwegian Getaway on 2 March 2025.

Meanwhile, ICONS: The Bands will showcase the greatest hits from legendary rock bands. The immersive concert experience will be brought to life with high-energy performances from the cast of NCL’s popular show Choir of Man. The show is set to debut aboard Norwegian Encore on 30 March 2025, followed by its introduction on Norwegian Escape in May.

The fourth new production, Ignite the Night, will offer an electrifying mix of dance and music, drawing inspiration from iconic awards shows. The show will premiere aboard Norwegian Jewel on 30 March 2025 and will also be available on Norwegian Gem’s Canada & New England sailings starting in September 2025.

Expanding Entertainment Options

In addition to these stage productions, NCL is enhancing its entertainment strategy by introducing more live performances throughout the ships. Guests can expect surprise “Mini Moments of More,” pop-up entertainment experiences designed to add excitement and fun to their cruise journey. Flash mobs, spontaneous performances in dining rooms, and interactive moments in public spaces will provide unexpected thrills.

NCL aims to offer something for everyone, from youth and family-friendly entertainment to immersive performances that engage guests of all ages. Bryan A. White, NCL’s Vice President of Entertainment Production, noted, “These exclusive, original productions reflect our dedication to providing unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experiences for our guests.”

With these new shows and expanded entertainment options, NCL is raising the bar for cruise entertainment and ensuring that guests have a wide range of experiences to enjoy during their voyages.
