All Nippon Airways (ANA) has been honored as the 2025 Airline of the Year by Air Transport World (ATW). The award will be presented at the 51st annual Air Transport World Airline Industry Achievement Awards Gala Dinner in New Delhi this May.
The ATW Airline Industry Achievement Awards recognize excellence across various aspects of airline operations. They are widely regarded as the most prestigious awards in the air transport sector.
ANA, based in Tokyo and a member of the Star Alliance, earned the top award for its strong financial performance, innovative leadership, commitment to improving customer experience, and efforts toward aviation sustainability.
Shinichi Inoue, President and CEO of ANA, expressed his pride in receiving the award. “This recognition highlights ANA’s commitment to safety, innovation, and outstanding customer service, which are made possible by our dedicated employees,” he said.
Other notable award recipients include:
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Nicholas E. Calio, President and CEO of Airlines for America (A4A)
- Eco-Airline of the Year: Cathay Pacific
- Cargo Operator of the Year: Cathay Cargo
- Value Airline of the Year: Scoot
- Airline Market Leader of the Year: Sun Country
- Humanitarian Force for Good Award: Qatar Cargo (in partnership with Airlink)
- Joseph S. Murphy Leadership Excellence Award: Martin Gauss, Chairman and CEO of airBaltic
Scoot CEO Leslie Thng commented on their recognition as Value Airline of the Year for the second consecutive year. “We are proud to be named ‘Value Airline of the Year’ again. This achievement reflects our dedication to setting new industry standards and the hard work of the entire Scoot team,” Thng said.
ATW Editor-in-Chief Karen Walker congratulated all the award winners. She emphasized the importance of air transport connectivity and the hardworking individuals behind these accomplishments. “We are excited to honor these leaders in the industry and celebrate the impact of their work,” she said.
