Radisson Hotel Group has expanded its presence in Sri Lanka with the opening of the Radisson Collection Resort in Galle, a historic city on the country’s southwestern coast. This marks the group’s fourth property in Sri Lanka and its second in Galle.
The new resort is situated on a pristine beach near Unawatuna, offering stunning views of the Indian Ocean. Galle, renowned for its 17th-century Dutch fort—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—provides visitors with a unique opportunity to explore Sri Lanka’s colonial history.
Beyond the fort, guests can immerse themselves in local culture by visiting ancient temples, colonial-era architecture, and nearby wildlife attractions such as sea turtle hatcheries. For nature enthusiasts, safaris in the region’s lush forests are also a must-see.
The Radisson Collection Resort, Galle, boasts 70 rooms, 36 suites, and a luxurious 1,200-square-meter Grand Penthouse. The penthouse features five bedrooms, a spiral staircase, and an infinity pool. Dining options include the signature Catch Restaurant, which offers an interactive seafood experience. Guests can personalize their meals by selecting their preferred seafood, cooking method, and style.
The resort joins Radisson Hotel Group’s existing portfolio in Sri Lanka, which includes the Radisson Blu Resort in Galle, Radisson Hotel Colombo, and Radisson Hotel Kandy. Xavier Masson has been appointed as the General Manager of the new Radisson Collection Resort, Galle, overseeing its operations and guest experiences.
This latest addition underscores Radisson’s commitment to expanding its luxury offerings in key destinations, combining modern amenities with the rich cultural and natural heritage of Sri Lanka.
