Marriott International has partnered with Al Qimmah Hospitality Company and Amwaj Real Estate Company, subsidiaries of BinDawood Trading, to launch a new Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Makkah. Scheduled to open in 2026, the Courtyard by Marriott Makkah Al Naseem will feature 2,179 rooms, making it the largest hotel under the Courtyard brand globally. The hotel promises to offer exceptional service, modern amenities, and unmatched convenience for guests.
The project aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, a strategic framework aimed at positioning the Kingdom as a global hub for religious and cultural tourism. Dr. Abdul Razzaq BinDawood, Chairman of Al Qimmah, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “This agreement reflects our commitment to Vision 2030 and our ongoing efforts to support the development of high-quality real estate in the Al Naseem District. Our goal is to serve pilgrims and travelers visiting the Holy Mosque, and this project represents one of our largest developments to date.”
Chadi Hauch, Regional Vice President of Lodging Development for Marriott International in the Middle East, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. “We are proud to strengthen our relationship with Al Qimmah Hospitality and BinDawood Trading through this landmark agreement. The new Courtyard by Marriott in Makkah underscores our commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s growing tourism sector and meeting the increasing demand for our brands in the Holy City,” he said.
The Courtyard by Marriott Makkah Al Naseem will be located in the Al Naseem District and will consist of seven interconnected towers. The hotel will feature 2,179 elegantly designed rooms, a spacious restaurant capable of serving over 1,800 guests, a welcoming lobby lounge, and The Market, a signature grab-and-go dining option. The design will reflect the brand’s classic aesthetic, offering guests a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
This development is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to enhance its tourism infrastructure under Vision 2030. The Kingdom aims to attract 30 million religious tourists annually by 2030, and projects like the Courtyard by Marriott Makkah Al Naseem play a crucial role in achieving this goal. By combining modern hospitality with cultural and religious significance, the hotel is set to become a key destination for pilgrims and travelers visiting Makkah.
The Courtyard by Marriott brand is known for its thoughtful design and guest-focused amenities, making it a popular choice for travelers worldwide. With this new addition, Marriott International continues to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia, contributing to the Kingdom’s vision of becoming a global leader in religious tourism.
