The Visit Valencia Foundation has unveiled its new campaign, “Seeing You in Valencia Fills Our Hearts,” in Thailand. This initiative aims to attract travelers from Europe, America, and Asia to explore the vibrant Spanish city.
For the first time, Visit Valencia is taking part in the Business Networking session of the 30th Thai International Travel Fair, which is being held from January 16 to 19. The event is organized by the Thai Travel Agents Association and gathers over 400 Thai travel agents. The foundation is using this platform to showcase its latest promotions and travel offerings under the “Seeing You in Valencia Fills Our Hearts” campaign.
Valencia, known for its 300 sunny days a year and an average annual temperature of 19°C, draws around 2.3 million visitors annually. Recently, it was named the Best City in Europe by Condé Nast Traveller readers in their 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards, earning an impressive score of 92.78.
However, direct flights from Asia to Spain are limited. Cathay Pacific offers a four-times-weekly service between Hong Kong and Madrid, while Evelop provides a twice-weekly flight from Bangkok to Madrid on Sundays and Thursdays. Iberia operates a four-times-weekly route between Tokyo Narita and Madrid, and Korean Air offers the same frequency on the Seoul to Madrid route.
From Madrid, visitors can reach Valencia in just 90 minutes by high-speed train. Valencia’s airport is only a 15-minute drive from the city center.
For travelers coming from Asia, the best option is to fly with Star Alliance airlines to Munich, Zurich, or Frankfurt, then connect to a flight to Madrid and take a train to Valencia.
