Avelo, the low-cost airline, is set to expand its footprint in the Southeastern United States and Florida just in time for the summer travel season.

Commencing operations on June 14, Avelo will introduce new routes from Southern Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport to Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and Charlotte’s Concord-Padgett Regional Airport.

Avelo’s strategic route selection reflects its commitment to maintaining cost-effective fares. Notably, the decision to operate from Concord-Padgett Regional Airport, situated outside of Charlotte, NC, rather than the main Charlotte Douglas International Airport, emphasizes the airline’s approach to optimizing operational efficiency and minimizing expenses, despite the latter being just 24 miles away.

In addition to these routes, Avelo will launch a new service from Orlando to Miami starting June 7. This weekend service, available on Fridays and Sundays until August 18, will cater to travelers seeking swift access between the two bustling cities within the Sunshine State. This route, operated on a Boeing 737 aircraft, offers one-way fares starting at $46.

Celebrating its third anniversary in business, Avelo revealed its significant milestones, having served over 4.6 million passengers in its initial years. With ambitious plans for expansion, the airline anticipates unveiling 17 new routes in the near future.

Andrew Levy, Chairman and CEO of Avelo, expressed pride in the airline’s achievements and enthusiasm for its future prospects. In a recent LinkedIn post, Levy affirmed, “I am proud of what we have accomplished, but even more excited about what is next for Avelo. With more airplanes and destinations on the way, we will continue to fulfill our purpose for millions of new and returning Customers.”
