by Alice

Returning to its serene corner of Jackson, Wyoming, the Rusty Parrot Lodge & Spa announces its much-anticipated reopening on July 1st, following a devastating fire that razed the nearly three-decade-old boutique hotel in 2019. The reopening marks a triumphant return for the award-winning, family-owned and operated establishment, showcasing a complete renovation comprising 38 rooms and two suites, alongside the renowned Body Sage Spa and Wild Sage Restaurant and Bar, now accepting reservations as early as May 1, 2024. While undergoing a comprehensive transformation, the lodge maintains its cherished Jackson Lodge charm, seamlessly blending into the surrounding towering timbers and majestic mountains, eagerly anticipating the return of both longstanding patrons and new visitors while remaining rooted in its heritage.

Brandon Harrison, General Manager of the Rusty Parrot, describes the establishment as “a new lodge with an old soul,” emphasizing the continuation of the West’s spirit, resilience, and elegance. He affirms the lodge’s commitment not only to rebuilding but also to enhancing and elevating its understated yet luxurious ambiance. While preserving its intimate scale, classic mountain style, and meticulous attention to detail, the Rusty Parrot introduces refined amenities and modern touches, inviting guests to experience a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation.

Nestled just steps from Jackson’s iconic Town Square and surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes that define the valley, the Rusty Parrot Lodge & Spa showcases a more refined and meticulously curated design. The expanded accommodation options include two suites, 22 King Fireplace rooms, 11 Double Queen rooms, and five King rooms, each exuding rustic Western sophistication and bathed in natural light. Boasting picturesque views, bespoke furniture, locally sourced artwork, premium linens, spa-grade bathrooms, and top-of-the-line comforts, the rooms offer a sanctuary for today’s discerning travelers.

The celebrated Wild Sage restaurant returns with an expanded footprint, featuring additional seating, including a patio space, and a larger open kitchen, complemented by the tranquil Body Sage Spa. New amenities such as valet parking, an expanded outdoor hot tub, and a secluded courtyard enhance the guest experience, providing opportunities for relaxation and enjoyment amidst the mountain splendor. A rooftop area invites stargazing, while a wildlife viewing deck offers glimpses of local fauna against the backdrop of the creek and butte.

Despite its transformation, the Rusty Parrot remains faithful to its legacy of excellence, deeply rooted in the hearts of visitors, locals, and staff alike. Relics of the original hotel will be discreetly incorporated into the new structure, paying homage to the iconic property that has charmed and created cherished memories over the years. The reopening of the Rusty Parrot represents a continuation of this cherished tradition, inviting both returning patrons and new guests to be a part of its storied past and promising future.
